The warranty policy below applies to all products sold at the SPOT Market Webstore, and supersedes any other warranty statement. The warranty policy is dependent on the status of equipment purchased (new or refurbished) and its manufacturer (SPOT Imaging or third party).
New Equipment Service Warranty for Products Manufactured by SPOT Imaging/Diagnostic Instruments:
This category includes new SPOT cameras, new microscope to camera adapters, new boom stands and new stereo microscope support bases.This service warranty supersedes any Diagnostic Instruments Inc. warranties that may be found in instruction sheets, booklets or manuals. Diagnostic Instruments, Inc. warrants to the Original Purchaser that this product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship per the specifications for the particular product that is in effect on the date of manufacture and for a period of one (1) year from the date of invoice. Diagnostic Instruments, Inc. (hereafter referred to as Diagnostic) shall, at its choice, repair or replace, free of charge, any product that upon inspection by Diagnostic, is found to be defective. Abuse, misuse, or improper maintenance and/or repair during the (1) year warranty period will invalidate this warranty. This warranty does not cover defects caused by ordinary wear and tear.
In no event shall Diagnostic be liable for any consequential, indirect, incidental, or special damages of any nature arising from the sale or use of this product. In no event, and under no circumstance shall Diagnostic be liable to the Original Dealer or to any other individual or entity for any indirect, special, consequential, or incidental losses or damages, including without limitation, lost profits.

To obtain warranty service, you must request an RMA (return material authorization) number and
then indicate it on the return shipment before we will accept receipt
of the return at our facility. To request an RMA number, please use our
RMA request form. The date of purchase,
return shipping address, serial number (if applicable) and a complete
problem description will be required. Shipping costs, duties, taxes and insurance on returned
products to Diagnostic are the responsibility of the customer. When the product is under warranty, return
shipping from Diagnostic to the customer is the responsibility of
Diagnostic with the following service level: In the contiguous 48
United States of America - 3 day service. All other locations will
receive 5-7 day service. Alternate Shipping Methods are available at an
extra cost to the customer.
Used and Refurbished/Legacy Model Equipment Service Warranty for Products Manufactured by SPOT Imaging/Diagnostic Instruments:
This category includes used, refurbished and/or legacy SPOT cameras, microscope-to-camera adapters, boom stands and stereo microscope support bases originally manufactured by Diagnostic Instruments.
This Service Warranty supersedes any Diagnostic Instruments Inc. warranties that may be found in instruction sheets, booklets or manuals. Statement of Condition of the Equipment: Used or refurbished equipment is tested to verify that it meets or exceeds the specifications of the equipment at the date of its original manufacture. Additionally, listed equipment will have a description of blemishes on record with Diagnostic Instruments, Inc. (hereafter referred to as Diagnostic) and provided to the customer prior to purchase. Note: the described blemishes are not grounds for a warranty return. Diagnostic warrants to the Original Purchaser, that the equipment will be free of defects in material and workmanship per the specifications for the particular equipment that are in effect on the date of manufacture with the exception of the recognized blemishes as described in the pre-purchase listing and for a period of 90 days from the date of invoice. The Original Purchaser shall provide a dated proof of purchase/invoice to validate the term of the Warranty. Diagnostic shall, at its choice, repair or replace, any product that upon inspection by Diagnostic, is found to be defective. Abuse, misuse, or improper maintenance and/or repair during the 90-day period will invalidate this warranty. This warranty does not cover defects caused by ordinary wear and tear.
