The SPOT Idea 5.0 Megapixel camera is designed to deliver high impact digital images for the serious scientist/microscopist in a value-laden package. The SPOT Idea produces megapixel resolution in vivid colors, enhancing publications, documentation, and archiving.

The SPOT Idea is an excellent choice for pathology, as well as clinical, life and material science, measurement, educational, and industrial applications.

This SPOT Idea camera was used for demonstration but functions and looks as new. The camera functions perfectly and can be returned within 2 weeks for a full refund if found unsatisfactory. It also comes with a 90 day factory service warranty.

This is a complete package including the SPOT Idea camera head, USB 2.0 cable, and SPOT Basic software CD. The only additional item required to get started imaging with the camera is a coupler for your microscope. Please review the Suggested Accessories tab for information about those.

SPOT Software

The Idea cameras come with SPOT Basic software included at no additional charge. The SPOT
Basic application enables microscopists to create publication-quality pictures easily. The live
image preview window is ideal for panning through slides and for fine focusing. Acquiring flawless
images is as effortless as a single mouse click. After image capture, measurements, calibration marks,
and other enhancements can be applied. Images can be dropped into a SPOT report for printing, or
saved in several different file formats for future distribution. The SPOT Basic application provides
all of the necessary tools for most imaging applications.

Additional software features can be found in the SPOT Advanced software.

SPOT Advanced Software

For users that would like even more imaging tools, the Idea cameras are also compatible
with the SPOT Advanced software, which includes macro scripting for automating
routine tasks, custom taskbars for commonly used functions, image merging, and
pre-configured image setups.

Stage Micrometers

Stage micrometers allow you to calibrate your SPOT camera system so that accurate measurements
can be added to your images.

You will need a C-mount adapter to mate the Idea camera to your microscope. A 0.5x magnification C-mount adapter will provide a
