The SPOT Insight 4.0 Megapixel monochrome camera is designed to deliver high quality digital images for the serious scientist/microscopist in a value-laden package. The SPOT Insight produces monochrome images to enhance publications, as well as for sample documentation and archival. The SPOT Insight 4 Mp camera utilizes a large scientific grade Kodak CCD sensor to capture a 22 mm wide field of view.

The SPOT Insight is an excellent choice for material science, measurement, and industrial applications. It doesn't have a built-in IR filter so that it can be used for IR fluorescence applications. If used for brightfield work, an external IR filter can be incorporated into the light path.

This package includes the following components:

Firewire 1394a cable
power supply (supports both US and international voltage requirements)
power supply cable (country-specific)
SPOT Basic software CD (latest version)

This camera package was used for some internal demonstrations and has some very minor cosmetic damage (see photos) but functions as brand new. You can return the camera package within 14 days for a full refund if not satisfied. The camera package also comes with a 90-day service warranty. The only additional item required to get started imaging with the camera is an adapter for your microscope. Please review the Suggested Accessories tab for information about those.

SPOT Software

This camera comes with the SPOT Basic software. The SPOT Basic application enables microscopists to create publication-quality pictures easily. The live image preview window is ideal for panning through slides and for fine focusing. Acquiring flawless images is as effortless as a single mouse click. After image capture, measurements, calibration marks, and other enhancements can be applied.

Images can be dropped into a SPOT report for printing, or saved in several different file formats for future distribution. The SPOT Basic application provides all of the necessary tools for most imaging applications.
