This articulating arm boom stand has an adjustable, counter-balance arm that allows easy, hand-guided movement. It is ideal for crowded labs because the articulating arm gives free range of motion without the clearance behind the arm required by standard boom stands.
The adjustable, counter-balance arm moves up and down through 14.5" of vertical travel while stretching over 29.5" from arm mount center to microscope mount center. The vertical position can be locked via a lever at the end of the arm. The adjustment range of the counter-balanced section is 4-20 lbs., allowing optimization of the lift assist for the microscope.
This model includes the articulating arm, 24" vertical post and a heavy weighted base. Wall-mount, table clamp and vibration table mount options can be substituted for the weighted base -

This is a new boom stand that ships with a 2-year factory warranty.
The articulating arm terminates in a bonder socket to accept the industry standard microscope bonder mount 5/8" diameter dowel. If your microscope doesn't have this 5/8" dowel, or if you would like to mount a camera to the stand, you will need a fixed or tilting microscope adapter. These are available separately -
