SPOT hardware and software purchases are for the equipment and software alone. Virtual (Phone/Web) installation, integration, help desk and problem triage assistance are a separate, purchased service.
Note on-site service is not covered by the following plans and will require Institution Authorization in the form of an authorization letter, Purchase order or an authorized credit card.
Virtual services can be purchased via:
· At Time-of-Service Authorization- This is a “pay as you go” method for authorizing service. It requires an institutional authorization in the form of an authorization letter, institution purchase order for services and materials rendered or an authorized credit card.
· Service Bank Plan- Useful for locations that do not have ready access or authority to authorize service in one of the preceding methods (an authorization letter, institution purchase order or an authorized credit card.).
o In this plan, a few hours are purchased and recorded with your system’s registration.
o This allows services to be rendered immediately upon lookup of your system registration.
o The time used is deducted from the banked hours recorded with your system registration.
o At the end of the service incident the remaining time is reported to the system owner.
o If the banked time is low (<1 hour) it will be recommended to the system owner to initiate the purchase process to replenish their service hour bank.
o Note that banked service time rolls over year to year.
