The SPOT Flex color camera is designed to deliver high quality digital images for the serious scientist/microscopist in a value-laden package. The SPOT Flex produces high resolution color images to enhance publications, as well as for sample documentation and archival. The SPOT Flex camera utilizes a large scientific grade Kodak CCD sensor to capture a 22 mm wide field of view.

The SPOT Flex is an excellent choice for pathology, as well as clinical, life and material science, measurement, educational, and industrial applications.

This package includes the following components:

SPOT Flex camera head
Firewire 1394a cable
power supply (supports both US and international voltage requirements)
power supply cable (country-specific)
SPOT Basic software CD (latest version)

This camera package was used for some internal demonstrations but functions and looks brand new. You can return the camera package within 14 days for a full refund if not satisfied. The camera package also comes with a 90 day service warranty. The only additional item required to get started imaging with the camera is a coupler for your microscope. SPOT Software

This camera comes with the SPOT Basic software. The SPOT Basic application enables microscopists

to create publication-quality pictures easily. The live image preview window is ideal for panning through

slides and for fine focusing. Acquiring flawless images is as effortless as a single mouse click. After image

capture, measurements, calibration marks, and other enhancements can be applied.

Images can be dropped into a SPOT report for printing, or saved in several

different file formats for future distribution. The SPOT Basic application provides all of the necessary

tools for most imaging applications.

Additional software features can be found in the SPOT Advanced and SPOT Advanced Plus software

SPOT Advanced Software

For users that would like even more imaging tools, the Idea cameras are also compatible with the SPOT Advanced software, which includes macro scripting for automating routine tasks, custom taskbars for commonly used functions, image merging, and pre-configured image setups.

SPOT Advanced Plus Software

PC customers can also consider the SPOT Advanced Plus software, which includes peripheral device control and extended depth of focus capabilities.

Stage Micrometers

Stage micrometers allow you to calibrate your SPOT camera system so that accurate measurements

can be added to your images.

Microscope Adapters

You will need a C-mount adapter to mate the Flex camera to your microscope. A 1.2x

magnification C-mount adapter is recommended. Below are 1.2x C-mount adapters for

common microscopes. Please see our online coupler selector guide at
