The DE12BXT adapter connects digital SLR and
other large sensor
format cameras to the Olympus BX Series, AX Provis, MX, IX2 Series, SZX9, and SZX12 microscopes. Its 1.2x magnification is designed to provide a wide
field of view for digital SLR cameras with 4/3" format sensors, so it
supports sensors up to 26 mm in diagonal without vignetting. Digital SLR cameras that utilize the 4/3" sensor format include Olympus E series cameras.
The DE12BXT can also be
used with smaller (1/2", 2/3", or 1" format) sensors to add more
magnification to the imaging system.
The top of the DE12BXT accepts a standard T mount adapter, so virtually
any camera can be adapted to it. Please add the appropriate
T-mount adapter for your camera to your cart if you don't have one- this is a required component.
