Custom designed microscope adapter for mounting cameras onto Leica DM series microscopes with HC optics/dovetail port. The DD10HCFS is a low profile F-Mount adapter with an effective magnification of 1.0X, suitable for cameras with 1" format CCD sensors.

When large sensor cameras are mounted onto Leica DM microscope photoports with regular microscope adapters, the images that result are in focus at the center of the field of view, but detail and sharpness are reduced towards the edges. The images look 'fuzzy' in the corners. The custom lens in the DD10HCFS adapter corrects for this flatness of field issue. When the DD10HCFS is used with a large sensor camera, the images produced are crisp and in focus over the entire field of view.

The DD10HCFS is an F mount adapter. It can be used with C mount cameras with the addition of an F-to-C mount adapter, but the field flatness correction is not possible when the F-to-C mount adapter is used.

This adapter is compatible with the following Leica microscopes:

DMR HC series, fits onto HC tube adapter
DMIL, DMIRB with HC optics
DM3000, DM4000, DM5000, DM6000 series
